Services

We offer a number of ways to get in on the training!

We offer Private Sessions, in person and over Skype.

As well as  Group Workshops.

These are available for regular pet owners, as well as canine professionals.

If these services aren’t quite what you’re looking for, just let me know what you need. I may be able to help, or at least refer you to someone that can! I know a ton of people, and someone, somewhere can help, even if it’s not me.

Anyone interested in working with me in person or online should start with this:

Foundations Lesson Plan  Follow the lessons listed in that PDF. When you have gone through these steps, you will get the most out of your private lessons. Regardless of venue….. we WILL be doing this material first!!! This Foundation Lesson Plan will save you the money of doing simple foundation work in a your paid private lessons, and It will save me time in doing private lessons with people who are not committed to the process. No matter what your issues or goals are….. These are foundational concepts and skills you must have to do any future work in this system.

    Hello!
I have a 2 and half year old Pit, Boxer, Hound, Rhodesian mix who struggles being nice to strangers, especially kids. He is adopted and we’ve had him for one year. We are interested in private trainings or groups or anything available that you think may help. We completed a basic obedience class and he did really well! He very food motivated and seems to learn quickly but we haven’t had much success helping him to be more social.

    Hi Jay!

I’ve been recommended to get in touch! We have a 9 month old staffy mix that has major resource guarding. He just does not like to give anything up! May it be a toy, bone, food. We’ve been training him and he’s done extremely well. But the aggression is something we are still trying to work on. Games of tug, have been super helpful. Instead of out, we use drop. He resource guards my husband too so walking into the house is a trigger! Unfortunately it seems inside the house and at myself is where he gets aggressive. Growling, curled lip and then the nip. He has broken my skin a number of times. Can you help??

    Good morning Jay,

I received your information from Marissa Spruell who I have been talking to about our Swissy, Hobbs. I have had him at several classes to try to get him to be a good dog…he did pass the classes but he is stubborn as a mule. He is a great dog around people and children. We had a party of about 70 people here in August and he was great! The problem comes with other dogs…particularly big male dogs! This is where I need help because he is very aggressive towards them whether on or off leash.

I am just reaching out to you now because 3 weeks ago, we had Hobbs neutered and last week I had surgery for a rotator cuff tear. I am still rehabbing but figured we could still meet and let you do an evaluation of him. I sent you an email early this week but had not heard from you so I thought that this might get your attention faster.

Let me know your thoughts on this. You can also call me on my cell phone if that would be easier for you to gather any information.

    Sincerely,

    Dick LaRou
